You treated me with violence!, But whatever the Lord has helped me

David and Jonathan:

OBJECTIVE:
1. Understanding Jonathan's friendship
was a gift from God to David, and
vice versa
2. Understand that a good friend is a
gift of God for our lives ...
3. Knowing that to conserve
friendships have to be generous,
honest and faithful.

BACKGROUND

The story of David and Jonathan, the son of
Saul is a good example of how born and
true friendship endures.
We know that Saul had lost favor
of God and that David had been anointed
Samuel as king of Israel, but
David was slow to take possession of
throne of Israel, Saul and remained serving
so humble and constant.
But God was with David, and filled him with
grace and ability to win, so
that the people loved him.

Moreover Saul was increasingly
sick soul and hated and envied
David because the people loved him more than
it. So David could feel very alone in
court. But God provided a good
friend, Saul's son, Jonathan.

APPLICATION

Maybe you had a friend and you've lost and what
made less.
Maybe you've never had a friend who is
generous with you, and would like to have it.
You may not know how to make friends and you
wish I could do them.
David and Jonathan are a good example

TEXT TO LEARN

HISTORY

David and Jonathan become friends.
Since Saul's son, Jonathan, met
David besieged enormous sympathy for him, and
David accounted for in the same way.
Jonathan gave his clothes and weapons, those of
a king's son, because he loved David as
itself.

Saul gives him a daughter in marriage to David.
But Saul did not like David. Even so,
and to please the people, promised to give as
wife to his oldest daughter, but when the time
made her marry another man.

Milcah, Saul's daughter, loved David and his
father consented to marry him, but with
one condition: that fought with 100 Philistines and
the beat. Saul thought the boy
die in the fight, but David went
victorious and married Milcah.
Saul wants to kill David ...
As Saul still had many jealous
David military successes and getting
recognition that the people taxed,
Jonathan knew that his father wanted to kill
David and prepared to protect, as a
great friend.

And David spoke highly of his father and
tried to calm him when he was angry with
the boy. And Milcah also helped his
husband. But Saul kept with your wishes
murderers. And David had to flee, leaving their
home to his wife and all that until then
had.

And Saul sent to pursue him, but God protected
David and could not find him.
Later, David went to see hidden
to Jonathan and complained bitterly of being
treated so unjustly asked him

I made a pact of friendship with God
and Jonathan always asked when he and

And indeed after three days, Jonatan
threw away the arrows and shouted to his servant

When the servant left two friends

And David went and left his wife, his
family and became an outcast.
But I always remembered the two friends
the good times they had spent together.

DAVID Y JONATÁN:

OBJETIVO:
1. Entender  que  la  amistad  de  Jonatan
fue un regalo de Dios para David, y
viceversa
2. Entender  que  un  buen  amigo  es  un
regalo de Dios para nuestras vidas...
3. Saber  que  para  conservar  las
amistades  hay  que  ser  generoso,
honesto y fiel.

ANTECEDENTES

La  historia  de  David  y  Jonatan,  el  hijo  de
Saúl,  es  un  buen  ejemplo  de  cómo  nace  y
perdura una amistad verdadera.
Ya sabemos que Saúl había perdido el favor
de Dios y que David había sido ungido por
Samuel  como  rey  de  Israel;  sin  embargo
David  tardó  mucho  en  tomar  posesión  del
trono de Israel, y permaneció sirviendo a Saúl
de manera humilde y constante.
Pero Dios estaba con David, y lo llenaba de
gracia y capacidad de victoria, de tal manera
que el pueblo lo amaba.

Por  otro  lado  Saúl  estaba  cada  vez  más
enfermo  del  alma  y  odiaba  y  envidiaba  a
David porque el pueblo lo quería más que a
él. Por ello David se podía sentir muy sólo en
la  corte.  Pero  Dios  le  proveyó  de un  buen
amigo: el hijo de Saúl, Jonatan.

APLICACIÓN

Quizás tuviste un amigo y lo has perdido y lo
hechas de menos.
Quizás nunca has tenido  un amigo  que sea
generoso contigo, y te gustaría tenerlo.
Quizás no sabes como hacer amistades y te
gustaría poder hacerlas.
David y Jonatan son un buen ejemplo

LECTURA BÍBLICA

1ª Samuel 18: 19; 20
TEXTO PARA APRENDER

En todo tiempo ama el amigo y es como un
hermano en tiempos de angustia  (Proverbios
17:17)

HISTORIA

David y Jonatan se hacen amigos.
Desde que el hijo de Saúl, Jonatan, conoció a
David  sitió  una  enorme  simpatía  por  él,  y
David le correspondió de la misma manera.
Jonatan le regaló ropa y armas suyas, las de
un hijo de rey, porque amaba a David como a
si mismo.

Saúl le da una hija por esposa a David.
Pero Saúl no quería a David. A pesar de eso,
y para agradar al pueblo, prometió darle como
esposa a su hija mayor; pero llegado el tiempo
la hizo casarse con otro hombre.

Milca, otra hija de Saúl, amaba a David y su
padre consintió en casarla con él, pero con
una condición: que luchara con 100 filisteos y
los venciera. Saúl pensaba que el muchacho
moriría  en  la  lucha,  pero  David  salió
victorioso y se casó con Milca.
Saúl desea matar a David...
Como Saúl seguía teniendo muchos celos por
los éxitos militares que David conseguía y por
el reconocimiento que el pueblo le tributaba,
Jonatan entendió que su padre quería matar a
David  y  se  dispuso  a  protegerlo,  como  un
gran amigo.

Y  habló  muy  bien  de  David  a  su  padre  y
procuró calmarle cuando estaba iracundo con
el muchacho. Y también Milca ayudaba a su
esposo.  Pero  Saúl  seguía  con  sus  deseos
asesinos. Y David tuvo que huir, dejando su
casa, a su esposa y todo lo que hasta entonces
tenía.

Y Saúl mandó perseguirle, pero Dios protegía
a David y no lograban encontrarle.
Tiempo después, David fue a ver a escondidas
a  Jonatan  y  se  quejó  amargamente  de  ser
tratado  tan  injustamente;  le  pidió  que  le
avisara  si  Saúl  seguía  buscándole  para
matarle.

E hicieron un pacto ante Dios de amistad para
siempre y Jonatan le pidió cuando él mismo y
su  padre  muriesen-  Jonatan  intuía  que  su
padre  moriría  de  forma  violenta  y
desaparecería toda la familia- David tendría
misericordia de su descendencia Y David lo
prometió así.

Y David le pidió a su amigo que le avisara si
su padre seguía con el deseo de matarle. E
idearon una estratagema. Si el deseo de Saúl
era  matar  a  David,  Jonatan  y  su  criado
saldrían  al  campo  para  hacer  prácticas  de
lanzamiento de flechas con arco; si las flechas
que tirara Jonatan  iban muy lejos, entonces
significaban  que  David  debía  marcharse
definitivamente.

Y efectivamente al cabo de tres días, Jonatan
tiraba lejos las flechas y le gritaba a su criado
que fuera muy lejos a buscarlas, y David, que
estaba escondido, supo que debía huir.
Cuando el criado se marchó ambos amigos se
abrazaron  y  se  despidieron  llorando  porque
sabían que era muy probable que nunca más
se vieran en esta vida.

Y  David  se  fue  y  dejó  a  su  esposa,  a  su
familia y se convirtió en un paria.
Pero siempre se acordaron los dos amigos de
los buenos tiempos que habían pasado juntos.
Y David se acordó de la promesa hecha a su
amigo Jonatan.

APLICACIÓN

Las buenas amistades se han de basar en el
respeto, la generosidad y la fidelidad.
